The Energy Efficient MotorSport (EEMS) report is the result of a feasibility study commissioned by the Motorsport Industry Association (MIA).
This study was supported by the DTI, the DTLR and four Regional Development Agencies: East Midlands Development Agency (EMDA), South East England Development Agency (SEEDA), East of England Development Agency (EEDA), and Advantage West Midlands.
The project aim was to assess the role, if any, that motorsport can play in the realm of energy efficiency. Any initiative coming out of this study will both promote the development of progressive, practical environmental technologies and by possibly creating a new motor racing series, with built-in incentives to fuel efficiency, produce a means of advancing these technologies.
A working committee was assembled, consisting of various companies and individuals with a particular interest in, or knowledge of, the subject matter.
